Rome-Sienna-Florence

Ah how we loved Rome so dearly. This was our balcony in our hotel room in Rome:)
First experience with conversion disaster. We hear that we arent supposed to bring our nice hair tools, so we buy cheapo's , so I plug in the cheapo, and it melts my hair off! OFF! So I will come home with a lovely souvenier from voltage corruption.

This was on our ride to Sienna from Rom. These houses have been here for hundreds of years and were pretty much carved out of the mountains. So...they were pretty much hollowed out mountains with windows and doors:)

The farms in Europe are so amazing. They are nothing like our ugly, un-organized farms in the U.S. I never thought hay would be so pretty.

Welcome to Sienna! The "Mountain City." This city was built up in the Midevil times on a mountainous region, and it was a very competitive region with all the surrounding cities too, so they had miniature wars with one another. It was literally out in the middle of no where. They built all their houses straight up and in square shapes! They made them really tall so that they could watch for enemies and also to watch their gardens grow. They were really into gardening, ah it was sooo beautiful. Then the plague hit the city hard and completely swept it out leaving it a ghost town. It wasn't too long ago that people started coming back to it and rebuilding it! Its so crazy to think that there are so many little cities and towns like this all over the world that you never hear about, but they are so interesting!:)

This old women was leaning out of her balcony, ordering her maid servant lady to re arrange something in her flower bed! The old traditions still hold today.

In memory of : Porche. I miss you:(

This was little Sienna's Cathedral. The mirrored glass was so amazing with the blue sky! The building was so ornate!

This tiny city had the most italian mood, you could hear this lady singing and playing an accordian all over. It gave me the chills because it seriously is exactly how you picture Italy sounding like. Sooo authentic.

She was simply amazing! If only you could have heard the voice she had. Very very talented women.

This city had the tiniest alley ways! They had the cutest connecting bridges all over too like this one!
Everything was so antique.
We make people jealous most the time:) it aint easy
ha ha
So.. this little center point of the city has an old story also! Like I stated earlier., this little town was and is a very competitive region. They divide the city up into teams, or groups depending on where they live. Then, once a year they'd gather in this half circle plaza, that is divided into what looks like pie slices, and they'd huddle together, with their region flag(they all have different colored, crazy designed flags,...some were zebras, others were just crazy colors thrown together) and they watch their region horse race against all the other horses around this city. Then who ever's horse wins the race, that region gets to hang their flag all over Sienna for that entire year untill the next race! They have all the rights to put their flag in any public place they please:) Cool tradition. Why can't ogden be this cool?

This is a clock in the circle plaza:)
I've done it again. So I decide to wear socks and sandals...and whatdya know? granny in our group is tryin to copy my swag:) I'm so cool I got grannys tryin to be like me. No biggy.
hah
After a great day in Sienna, we were off to Florence:)
With a new pair of shoes
:)
Thanks dad
Behold...the over crowded, but still beautiful...Florence!
After being in a Rome, this was such a big change! I had a hard time appreciating its beauty at first because it seriously was sooo crowded! It just felt like they stuffed so much into one city. But as I learned more about the city, I grew to love it as well:) The bridges were my favorite part by far!

Sisterly love.
ah, I miss all of you sisters at home!!!
I can't freakin wait for SUNVALLEY!!!
Party it up big time:)
hear me out, so Italy is like mushy mushy romantico...we all know that. But when your stuck in a tour group with not a single cute boy, then you go to a scenic view like this one, and all you see are these beautiful tan girls with their gorgeous italian boyfriends, all over each other, you start to feel down right jealous. This picture was an ego booster for us., so let us have our moment as tried to pull of seductive looks in preparation to seduce the men of Florence:)
haha
seriously though,
get out of my face
Family hug:)

OH! If you didn't know, ...Michelangelo was born in Florence..just sayin:)

This look crawled upon my face often when I had to be dragged away and spanked by my mom when i was trying to steal italian stalion men away from their dumb girlfriends:)

The girls in Firenze...
what you can't see is all the many bags of clothes we are carrying in our hands:)
Just kidding sisters!!!:)
Dad is actually being "Psycho!" about buying clothes.
claims we wont be able to carry it all on the plane
blah blah blah

The Florence Cathedral! Look at all that Marble!

What would a day in Italy be with out gelato?...
it wouldn't
So..here we are, at the Famouse gelato store, hidden in some alleyway in Firenze.
It wasn't what it was hyped up to be, so don't listen to them. The best place is in Rome, remember that.
you may wonder to yourself why I don't have gelato?
one word
Nuts
Stupid italians put them in my food
Don't they know i'm allergic?
I had to give up gelato for he** sake.
happy campers

This would be the kids of our tour group.
Classy eh?
I think they're scared of me and carly
Me: because i'm a wierdo and granny's copy my steez
Carly: her mean faces. Or should I say "hungry" faces.
they'll learn by the end of this month.

Florence day uno:)

Feelin gooood, minus my swollen throat.

Ready for a neww day!
